Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
